'Talking' to npc but turboing through the text because you played the game before or whatever obviously isn't going to take as much time. If you want to find some workaround, what meaning is there in the achievement? I guess it is intended as some reward for replaying, or as others said really taking time to read everything. Not to say the extra worldbuilding is bad by any means, but rather, Falcom simply doesnt have the development staff to manage that. That would be a complete waste of falcom's very limited resources considering most players wont do that, and will only interact with the ones in the immediate area when something happens. But in terms of the total script length for the game, it will not be 80% non-story NPCs and 20% mains tory + side quests. Some people are faster at it, others are slower. Some NPCs have better developments than many side characters like Wald. Is not just about talking to NPCs, but about understanding and following what they say, getting immersed. I'm doing it and I'm at ch3, day 4 and I have 58h clocked in. there's probably more than that in just the story itself, let alone all of the sidequests. Even if there's like 100 NPCs whose dialogue updates a few times per chapter, you're only looking at maybe 800 sentences per chapter.
